Happy Earth Day! Teen Program: Crochet Tote Bags Out of Plastic Bags

Tonight the 6-12 graders made tote bags out of recycled grocery bags and other plastic bags. We upcycled! They could either spool knit with boxes, weave, or crochet their bags.  Each bag will use about 100 plastic bags when it is done, so each bag saves 2/5 a barrel of oil!!
