Tonight the 6-12 graders made tote bags out of recycled grocery bags and other plastic bags. We upcycled! They could either spool knit with boxes, weave, or crochet their bags.  Each bag will use about 100 plastic bags when it is done, so each bag saves 2/5 a barrel of oil!! Using these reusable bags instead of grocery bags saves even more.
